Templates

Templates allows the administrator to create a default setup for users. This includes applications, their dock or visual changes on their workspace.

Templates can be edited at all times and in order to get the new settings to a user you must go to Edit User profile view, select the template again and press Save.

Template list

This list displays all the templates available in the system.

Pressing “+” button opens the New template view which allows the administrator to create a template.

Search bar enables searching by Name in templates.

Clicking on a template opens the Edit template view where the administrator can edit properties.

New template view

The administrator can add the following settings:

  • Template name
  • Description – where various text can be added
  • Default language – opens a drop down list with a selection of languages supported by the system

Cancel button stops the new template creation and closes the window.

Save button will save the new template and enable other options to add to the template.

Edit template view

Once a template is created, the administrator can edit its properties. Clicking on any of the below options will enable edit mode on:

  • Template name
  • Description
  • Language

Cancel button will stop the edit mode and Save button will save the new edited information.

Bin” button will allow template deletion.

Applications

The administrator can add/remove any applications available in the system to the user’s account.

The applications can be easily removed by pressing “-” button. This means they will be deleted from the user’s account and he/she won’t be able to access them anymore.

As an administrator you can add any number of applications by simply pressing “+” button.

This will open a new window where all applications in the system are displayed. Toggle ON to add applications to the user’s account and Toggle OFF if you want to remove them.

Pressing “<–” button will save the settings and return to the previous screen.

Dock

The dock section of the template allows the administrator to add applications to the user’s dock. In here you can add/remove or change the order of the applications

In here you can move the applications up or down the list, first application in here will be first in the dock on user’s side. Pressing “-” button will activate “Delete” and once that is pressed, the application will be removed from the list, therefore from the user’s dock too.

More applications can be added to the list by pressing “+” button.

This will open a new window where the administrator can see all available applications connected with that user.

Toggle ON to add applications to the Dock’s list and Toggle Off if you want to remove them.

Pressing “<–” button will save the settings and return to the previous screen.

Startup

Startup section allows the administrator to add applications that will launch automatically when the user logs in.

In here the applications can be move up or down the list. First application in here will be the one showing maximized on user’s workspace. All other following applications will start minimized.

Pressing “-” button will activate “Delete” and once that is pressed, the application will be removed from the list, therefore from the user’s dock too.

More applications can be added to the list by pressing “+” button.

This will open a new window where the administrator can see all available applications connected with that user.

Toggle ON to add applications to the Dock’s list and Toggle Off if you want to remove them.

Pressing “<–” button will save the settings and return to the previous screen.

Look and feel

Look and feel section allows you to edit the user’s display settings.

In here you can edit the following :

  • Dark theme – Toggle off and the user will have the light theme; Toggle on and the user will have charcoal theme.
  • Window controls – Windows style : the minimize/maximize/close buttons on window will be displayed on the right side; Mac style : the buttons will be displayed on the left side.
  • Workspaces – choose how many virtual workspaces the user will have on their account
  • Wallpaper – choose the display wallpaper on user’s desktop.
